Carmen was born in the Galician city of Orense, but having lived all of her life in Madrid considers herself a Madrileña through and through.
Her childhood dream was to be a doctor, which is what she became, after completing her medical studies at Complutense University to become a Neurologist.
Neurology is a field in which she says she discovered her passion for the movement disorders, and specialized in such diseases as Parkinon´s and related diseases.
She now works at the Infanta Sofia Hospital where she has been since 2008.
